The Society’s 2025 Chamber Music Exchange project took place in November, when a piano trio (piano, violin, ‘cello) from the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg (Trio Rupnik) met and made music with a piano trio from the Royal College of Music, London (Rossetti Trio).

On the evening of Wednesday 12th November, during the week when the two trios are together in Salzburg, they gave a concert in the Wienersaal of the Stiftung Mozarteum.

In the following week, when they were together in London, there were two evening concerts, each with a different programme, each with an Anglo-Austrian theme.

For the first London concert, at The Warburg Institute on 18th November, each of the trios performed a Mozart Piano Trio. There was also a talk about the links between the trios, Vienna and London.  For the second concert, at the Austrian Embassy on 20th November, the musicians performed music by Korngold, Bridge and Brahms. Both London events ended with a reception, during which audience members met and talked with the young performers.
