The Society’s 2025 Chamber Music Exchange project is taking place in November, when a piano trio (piano, violin, ‘cello) from the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg (Trio Rupnik) will be meeting and making music with a piano trio from the Royal College of Music, London (Rossetti Trio).

On the evening of Wednesday 12^th November, during the week when the two trios are together in Salzburg, they will be giving a concert in the Wiener Saal of the Stiftung Mozarteum. In the following week, when they are together in London, there will be two evening concerts, each with a different programme, each with an Anglo-Austrian theme.

Both London events will begin quite early (about 6pm or 6.30pm) and will end with a reception, during which it will be possible to meet and talk with the young performers.

For the first London concert, at The Warburg Institute (WC1H 0AB) on Tuesday 18th November, each of the trios will perform a Mozart Piano Trio. There will also be a talk about the links between the trios, Vienna and London.  You will find here some more photos and details of the concert that the Society gave at the Warburg Institute earlier this year. It is a lovely venue.

For the second concert, at the Austrian Embassy (SW1X 8PX) on Thursday 20th November, the musicians will perform music by Korngold, Bridge, Britten and Brahms.

If you would like to apply for tickets (up to two tickets per member) to attend either or both of the London concerts which the trios are giving, please either send an email message to [email protected] or send a letter to Enquiries (using the address of the Society’s Registered Office, which is on the back page of the Newsletter). If you send an email, please use ‘Chamber Music Concerts 2025’ as the subject line of your email message. In the body of your message, please include: Your name; Name of guest (if wished); Your mobile phone no; Concert/s you wish to attend (and any preference).

Your request will be acknowledged, to let you know if you have obtained seats and providing details of the concert.
